What to provide

Describe the fictional setting, audience, tone and boundaries. For a controversial topic, ask for competing arguments and distinguish evidence from opinion. Do not include private details about real people.

Request: Two officers debate an autonomous station AI. Direction: One values its ability to act during an emergency; the other asks who is accountable when it makes a mistake. Neither argument needs a cartoon villain.

This is an illustrative writing brief, not a generated answer. A specific conflict gives the model something to develop. Revise the draft for character voice rather than accepting a generic debate.

What fewer restrictions means in practice

Use uncensored AI for bolder fictional scenes, adult themes or a controversial argument explored without flattening its conflict. Fewer restrictions is not a guarantee that every prompt will be answered. The model provider can still decline requests, and the assistant can misunderstand a brief. Use the same chat for ordinary planning, explanations or editing. Do not treat an unrestricted-sounding label as a measure of intelligence, factual reliability or privacy. A compelling response can still contain invented facts.

Turn an idea into a usable writing brief

Specify who the characters are, what each wants, what cannot happen and what the audience should feel. For the officers in the example, add a location, a shared history and one concrete decision they must make before the scene ends. Ask for the disagreement to emerge through actions and dialogue instead of an explanatory essay. After the first draft, request one targeted change: less exposition, a sharper opposing argument or a quieter ending. Keep the elements you like in the revision request so another pass does not erase the scene’s useful details.

Explore disagreement without inventing evidence

For a contentious nonfiction topic, ask the assistant to separate factual claims, value judgments and uncertain assumptions. Request the strongest case on each side and the evidence that would change the conclusion. Do not mistake balanced wording for verified research or assume that an asserted source exists. Check quotations and references against originals before publishing. If the question concerns real people, remove private identifying details and avoid presenting speculation as fact. Fewer content restrictions can make a discussion broader, but they do not make allegations true or remove your responsibility to review the output.
